For some reason it is being resurrected and passed around like wildfire in the past 2 days, without attribution to its original source. I'm not disputing the dismal shape of the US economy, but can't help but feel suspicious about the motives of the person who started it.

Wow, this was one fabulous post. But do you really think it is so easy to steal the thunder from the US dollar? I follow news everyday - i like the new channel UTVi; and from what i see, the dollar has been climbing for a while now. So, I don't know how Iran plans to do this.

The Iran Bourse is a money maker no matter what currency it accepts in exchange for oil. The fact that they don’t want the dollar in exchange for their oil is simply good business.

For too long the central banks of the world has been the black hole that socked up excess dollars. Because of this black hole phenomenon our economy has not experienced hyperinflation and our government has not been pressured to pay down it enormous debt. In fact, our prosperity is due the fact that our currency is held in high regard by most central bankers.

It is sad, but our belief system is based on the fact that the dollar is somehow God inspired therefore we are immune from the consequences of poor policy decisions and poor business decisions.

If globalization is going to work effectively for people then there has to agreement among all nations on currency controls.
